![]() ![]() I have this TV connected to my satellite dish receiving signals from Astra 19.2E – the old Sky analogue service position now serving Continental Europe's digital services rather than the UK. ![]() This full reset should also be performed if someone else becomes the main user of the TV set as it removes all your personal ID details and passwords. ![]() You should then see the little Android symbol spinning for a couple of minutes – and then everything you have set up will be gone! One pleasant surprise was that I did not need to repeat the long software update I performed on the initial set up when the set came out of the box – this saved me about an hour on this new set up as the software update had become the default. I have now performed a factory reset and it has restored the satellite tuner to full working order – to do this you press the Home button on the remote control – go to Settings – Storage & reset – Factory data reset – Erase everything and select it. I was pleased to see that some people have found the note about Youview helpful so I will leave it as it is for now and update as I go along. A factory reset of the TV seems very straightforward but I haven't done it yet as setting everything up again is far from that! A very good TV in many other respects I have given a temporary three star rating – which will hopefully improve in the fullness of time. I have spent the best part of two days installing and setting this TV up and it now looks increasing likely that the only way I will be able to use the satellite tuner section again is to do a full factory reset – it was working very well indeed before I activated Youview! Youview is just a glossy interface for Freeview but it wants to rule the world – and once it has been activated on the TV subsequent deactivating has no effect on the satellite tuner section working again. There is a known problem (only just discovered by me however!) where activating the Google Youview App prevents the use of the TV's built-in satellite tuner – check it out online. This is a brief temporary review written by way of a warning to those considering purchasing this or some other Sony TV models.
